Place Value Puzzles
Cut noodles into segments and write digits on each one. Use dowels or skewers to stack them and help students build numbers and understand place value—hundreds, tens, and ones.
Number Line Adventures
Lay a long pool noodle across the floor and mark it as a number line. Students can “hop” to answers during skip counting, addition, or subtraction practice.
Fraction Fun
Cut noodles into equal parts to visually demonstrate fractions. Use colored tape or markers to highlight halves, thirds, fourths—then challenge students to compare or build equivalent fractions.
Multiplication Rings
Link segments of pool noodles into “math chains” to represent multiplication groups. For example, 3 chains of 4 segments = 12.
